Michael Jackson’s Doctor, Conrad Murray facing manslaughter charge

DrConradMurray[1][HMG] – In the latest installment of Michael Jackson’s sad demise, the Los Angeles Police Department has just taken a step that was both widely reported and perhaps long overdue – Jackson’s Doctor, Conrad Murray has been charged with manslaughter.

The criminal complaint filed by the LAPD thirty minutes ago alleges that Dr. Murray “did unlawfully, and without malice, kill Michael Joseph Jackson…in the commission of an unlawful act, and in the commission of a lawful act which might have produced death in an unlawful manner, without due caution and circumspection.”

The charges stem from investigations conducted by the department which suggest Dr. Murray administered Propofol to Michael shortly before the singer was found unresponsive in his rented Holmby Hills mansion, where Dr. Murray was also staying.

A post-mortem proved the 50-year old superstar died as a result of ‘acute Propofol intoxication.’

Doctor Murray will now face a Judge and be arraigned on the charges at 1.30pm local time in a Los Angeles courtroom. TMZ says he’s due to enter a plea of ‘Not guilty.’ He is then expected to be released on bail almost immediately, pending the trial.

None of the charges filed against Dr. Murray constitute a felony, but if found guilty he could be sentenced to four years in jail
