[HMG] – Fame is defined in numerous ways, but to be listed in Britain’s high-society bible, ‘Who’s Who’ is tangible proof that you now have that status, and this year Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman have appeared on the list.
The book is a 2,650 page dissertation on everyone it’s even remotely worthwhile to know, and this year Brad and Morgan join Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Meryl Streep and a few other ‘foreigners’ among 33,000 names of the people who matter.
How you get into the book is a closely-held secret, but to achieve such inclusion is a major award.
“People who are high achievers, household names or have had an impact on this country, whether it be in commerce or entertainment can be in the book,” said a spokesman. “This year it’s Brad Pitt and Morgan Freeman who are bringing some ‘Hollywood glamor’ to the newest edition.”
Brad, 45, listed as ‘William Bradley Pitt,’ has starred in 62 separate productions, with two Oscar nominations and a Golden Globe win. But it’s thought his humanitarian work with Angelina Jolie was the key to his making the grade.
Meanwhile, the book tells us that 72-year old ‘Morgan Porterfield Freeman’ has made over 88 films in a 45-year career that is older than most of his co-stars. Nominated four times for an Oscar, he won in 2005 for ‘Million Dollar Baby’ in which he starred with Clint Eastwood.
But if you’re hoping for secrets, save your $400 – Neither Brad nor Mr. Freeman has shared any scoop; “Neither of them added anything about their recreational activities, so we aren’t given any insights, they just gave the basic biographical information,” the publisher’s source told the Daily Telegraph.
So you’ll still need the National Enquirer for that…
