The flurry of allegations and lawsuits between Rob Lowe and one of his nannies is finally over.

Rob had preemptively sued the nanny, Jessica Gibson, in April last year, claiming she was threatening blackmail unless she received $1.5-million. Less than a week later, Ms. Gibson filed her suit, alleging the 45-year old actor engaged in sexual harassment and even indecent exposure during her seven-years with the Lowe’s.

Both Rob and his wife of 18-years, make-up designer, Sheryl Berkoff, have denied and derided Ms. Gibson’s claims.

Both sides have now applied to the court to have their lawsuits dismissed, but their lawyers are refusing to confirm if a financial settlement was the cause of this change.

Having upset his ‘West Wing’ co-stars by allegedly earning four times more than them, Rob’s no stranger to controversial situations. But the California native has steadfastly denied any fault in this case. A second lawsuit by another employee is still outstanding, however, and may come to court very soon.
